Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level A and AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to maintain, assess and improve the usability of our site through staff training, periodic review and testing.
What We’ve Done
- Semantic HTML with clear headings and landmark regions for screen-reader navigation.
- A “Skip to content” link and full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive tech.
- Color combinations chosen for readable contrast, and layouts that reflow on phones, tablets and desktops.
- Links that open in a new tab or leave our site are announced to screen-reader users.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting, which turns off non-essential animation.
